This backpack is very affordable at $79.95 (and it is often on sale). At this price point and even higher, the Transit Redline EDC Backpack rivals the comfort, features, and quality of competing products. This makes me excited because you often don’t get this type of quality for such a low price.

Transit Redline EDC Backpack Comfort
Comfort is the #1 thing that I look for in a backpack (even over durability or features). If a backpack is comfortable, then that means I’ll carry it more often and I will enjoy my time out. And that’s where the 3V Gear Transit Redline Backpack really shines – It is one of the most comfortable “EDC” bags that I’ve ever used.
This comfort comes from the fact that 3V Gear adopted a lot of great features from hiking-style backpacks. But they still give us the great organization/design of an EDC pack.
How am I using the Transit Redline EDC Backpack?
Everyone will find a different purpose for a pack within this size range & style. But I personally love my Transit Redline Backpack for day hikes – Even up to a minimal fair-weather camping bag. Here’s a quick list of the things I currently carry in mine:
- Fire kit
- Titanium cook kit, food + water filter
- Cordage
- Folding saw, ax, knife
- Simple hygiene kit
- Emergency bivvy + tarp
- First aid kit
- Simple navigation kit
- Some extra layers of clothing
This bag is ideal for me in the Spring, Summer & Fall. In the winter I carry bulkier items (like a sleeping bag + heavy canvas tarp), so I have to bump up to a larger backpack then. But, in the warmer months, this pack is absolutely perfect.

Final Thoughts + Where To Buy 3V Gear
When I first got into hiking and camping, I really wish I had this pack. Even now, after being into the outdoor lifestyle for many years, I am stoked to have found the Transit Redline Backpack. As I mentioned earlier in this review, it rivals and exceeds backpacks within its price-range & even higher. It is, in my experience, the best modern backpack within its class and I couldn’t recommend it higher to you all.
