Casio Royale Nato
I recently picked up the iconic Casio AE1200 and modified it with a Nato Strap to mesh a bit better with my personal style. The modification was very simple, but it makes a lot of difference in terms of comfort. And it adds some personal character to this classic watch.
With that said – A lot of people have DM’ed and commented over on Instagram wanting to know where I got my straps. So, I’m going to break it down below, along with some tips if you want to go this route as well.
Casio 1200 Nato Straps
I picked up the Casio 1200 and Nato Straps on Amazon. The straps are made by a company called Ritche and come in a 4 pack, with extra spring bars + a tool for disassembly. Whenever you purchase these, make sure to get the 18mm ones. Also, a word of caution, stay away from straps that are 1.5mm thick or so…They are too thick to fit behind the spring bars on the Casio AE1200.
Casio “Royale” AE1200
The Casio Royale (AE1200) has such a unique and vintage style, and I love that about it. And with the addition of some NATO Straps it really takes on a new character with each color change you do. Here are some other things I’m currently enjoying about the Casio 1200:
- The Casio 1200 is inexpensive at just over $40 w/ a 4 pack of NATO Straps
- It’s comfortable for all day wear
- The functions are incredibly versatile (4 quick-pick timezones, 5 alarms, stop watch, countdown timer & light)
- It’s fairly compact, without being too small
- It’s as water resistent as I could need
That does it for the Casio 1200 NATO. If you have any questions or thoughts, drop them below in the comments!
