One of my favorite things that I’ve integrated into my every day carry as of late has been a Belt Kit. Something as simple as one of the following belt pouches has allowed me to comfortably carry a lot of lifesaving gear (literally & metaphorically).
And here’s the best part about these kits – I can easily carry a small belt pouch if I’m running around town and need something discreet. Or I can scale it up with some larger belt pouch options if I’m going to be in the woods.
Best Bushcraft Belt Kit Pouches
As I mentioned above, I love having the option to scale my belt pouch up or down in size. As for which belt kit I choose…That is totally dependent on where I’m going to be and what I’m going to be doing for the day (I do this with my belt knife as well).
Here are the 3 options that I like carrying and would recommend you check out (from left to right in the photo above):
- Tuff Possum Gear Belt Pouch
This belt pouch is the second largest of the group. It houses all of the items that I deem as necessities for a belt kit, along with a tad bit more. I reach for this pouch when I need a mid-sized kit. - Campcraft Outdoors EDC Pouch
I really enjoy this pouch for everyday carry. It houses all of my necessities in a compact form factor. This belt kit is primarily meant for short day hikes when I might need a few lifesaving pieces of gear. This belt pouch is the largest and most capable of all of my belt pouches. This is the one that I will reach for on overnighters and trips far into the backcountry.
