CIVIVI Plethiros
I recently picked up a CIVIVI Plethiros to try out. I have heard nothing but amazing things about the CIVIVI Brand (along with their parent brand, ‘We Knives’). So, I figured it was time to see for myself what all of the hype was about. And I couldn’t be more excited about what I’ve experienced, so far, in my short time of owning the Plethiros.
CIVIVI Plethiros Fit & Finish
Right off the bat, the fit & finish of the CIVIVI Plethiros far exceeds its sub-$75 price tag. In fact, the Plethiros rivals knives within the $150-200 price point, based on my experiences.
- Packaging: I never mention this – But I’m going to do so for this knife…
As soon as you receive your CIVIVI Plethiros you will be greeted with a minimally designed box, which houses a soft case that looks like it was made for eyeglasses. The inside of the case is lined with faux fur and contains a large microfiber clothe (and your knife, of course). I thought this provided case was a really nice touch. - Carbon Fiber / G10:
The G10/Carbon Fiber handle has a really nice, high-end feel. The handle and liners also meet up very well together. The Carbon Fiber is on the smoother side when you compare it to something like ZT’s Carbon Fiber (using my ZT 0460 as a comparison). All around, this is a great handle.
Fit & Finish Continued…
- Deep Carry Clip:
I personally love a good deep carry pocket clip for everyday carry and CIVIVI did a nice job on this one. - Disassembly & Parts Quality:
I disassembled my CIVIVI Plethiros last night, just to see what it was made of (literally). I was excited to see CIVIVI had used a high-quality bearing system (which is silky smooth). And, just like the outside of the knife, everything was finished far above its price point on the inside. It rivals other, much more expensive knives that I own/have owned. - Action & Operation:
You will be hard-pressed to find a smoother knife for under $100. This knife flies open with ease and drops shut with no problems after you clear the detent.
CIVIVI Plethiros Quality
As I touched on in the Fit & Finish section, the CIVIVI Plethiros is top notch. As you can see above, the blade centering is spot on and it was easy to obtain this centering again after reassembling it myself. The factory edge & bevels were perfect as well. Honestly, there’s not much else to say here for quality other than, it is fantastic.

Who would like the CIVIVI Plethiros? I would recommend this for EDC Enthusiasts. People who want a knife that feels like it has a custom touch. Someone who’s looking for a very ‘slicey’ knife. And someone who’s looking for the best quality under $100.
