Larry Roberts Knife Used on Alone
Recently, I was honored to spend time with some fantastic folks from our industry down at Georgia Bushcraft for Campfire Co-Op 2022. I am slowly working my way through the hundreds of photos that I took of folks and their gear while I was away…
But today, I want to introduce you all to my new friend Larry Roberts from History Channel’s show “Alone”. Larry Roberts survived an impressive 105 combined days between seasons 2 and 5 of the show.
Knife used on Alone
Larry is an incredibly talented woodsman and teacher of outdoor skills. He is also one of the kindest, most appreciative & humble people that I’ve met in a long while. Larry took an L.T. Wright “Gen 6” on the 5th season of Alone. I can totally see why Larry chose this knife…It is a stout workhorse that provides a lot of capability in the field.
L.T. built Larry a Gen 6 (which is a 6″ version of the time-tested LTWK Genesis) a bit before Larry went back on for Alone’s 5th Season (the “redemption” season)…
L.T. was personally unsure about a Genesis model in this blade length. So he made sure Larry thoroughly field-tested the new design before he took it with him on the show to survive with. Larry had no problems with that. He put the LTWK Gen 6 through its paces before he left, and even more thoroughly while he was on the show with nothing but great things to say about it.
