Marttiini Knife
I was recently browsing for some new knives to test…And I wanted 2 things: A budget-friendly knife and something from a brand that I had never used. With that said, I bought 2 new Marttiini Knives. The Marttiini Knife that you see above is listed as the “Marttiini Lumberjack“…But, when it came in, the box said Marttiini Kaamos Carbon. Names aside…This knife is awesome!
- This is a fun carving & bushcraft knife…
It fits perfectly with my traditional bushcraft kit that I take out on days when I want to take it slow in the woods. - The Marttiini Kaamos Carbon is around $30.
Given the affordable price of this Marttiini Knife, it is suitable for almost anyone’s budget. - By my estimation, Marttiini Knives are the middle of the line between Helle Knives and Morakniv.
They are not as fancy as Helle Knives…But, they do offer a bit more “bells & whistles” than a standard Morakniv.

Marttiini Kaamos Carbon Knife
Here are some of the high points about the Marttiini Kaamos Carbon:
- It has a super sharp Scandinavian grind right out of the box.
- The Kaamos Carbon also has a nice traditional Scandinavian Leather Sheath.
- The birchwood handle of this Marttiini Knife is very comfortable to work with.
- The blade length is just right for a carving knife at 3.5″.
- The Marttiini Kaamos Carbon has a sharp 90º spine for scraping a ferro rod or wooden materials.
This is a hidden gem that I have not seen anyone else talk about in the bushcraft community. I will continue to do my testing on this knife…But, I thought I’d let you know that I’m pleased with it so far!
