Paria 1.1L Titanium Pot
I recently got my hands on one of Paria’s recently released 1.1L Titanium Pots. As soon as I saw this cooking pot I wanted one for two main reasons: (1) So that I could nest my Bushbuddy Twig Stove into it and maximum my bag space. (2) So that I would have a larger pot for heartier solo meals during the coming winter season.
I have had this cooking pot out on 2 adventures since I received it last week. So, while this is not a long-term review of the Paria 1.1L Pot, I did want to go ahead and share some of my thoughts about it with you all. (along with how I’m personally using it)
How I’m Using the Paria 1.1L Titanium Pot
As I mentioned above, I am using the Paria 1.1L Titanium Pot with my Bushbuddy Twig Stove right now. I’ll do an in-depth post about this entire cook kit later on, but here are some high points of this system…
- Pot & Stove:
The Paria 1.1L Cooking Pot nests perfectly with my Bushbuddy Twig Stove. It even has room to spare for a bandana to wrap around the stove. The bandana serves to keep my pot clean while the stove is dirty (among all of the other handy uses that a bandana has). - Lightweight:
My stove, pot, and lid only weigh 10.3 ounces. I am extremely happy about that. - Versatility & Efficiency:
The Bushbuddy Twig Stove is a very efficient piece of kit. Literally, all you need is organic material found anywhere in the outdoors. It is also very efficient. A properly loaded stove will burn for 45+ minutes and retain a usable coal base. The Paria 1.1L Pot boils water very quickly on this stove as well. (once it cools down a bit more I will be making soups and larger meals with the Paria pot…#excited)
Paria 1.1L Pot Lid
Having a well-fitting lid on my camp cookware is a huge deal. I prefer it to be on the tighter side…And that’s just what the Paria lid delivers. I have poured around 24 ounces of boiling water out of the drain holes and the lid stayed on perfectly (without holding it down). Nice work here, Paria.
The D-Ring grab-tab on the top of the lid stays up by itself as well. So, whenever you are ready to lift the lid up you don’t have to fiddle with it. This is also the mark of a well-designed piece of cookware, in my opinion.
Paria 1.1L Pot Handles
The handles of the Paria 1.1L Pot are traditional batwing style (they’re removable as well). In the past, I have griped about small batwing handles in and around campfires. But, the handles of the Paria Cooking Pot are on the larger side, which I like. They stand away from the cup enough so they don’t heat up as much as smaller batwing handles do. I would still exercise caution and use a good pair of leather gloves to remove the cup from coals/flames.
The handles of the Paria 1.1L Pot fold in snuggly against the walls of the cup as well. This results in a great fit for storage and transport.
Paria Outdoor Products 1.1L Titanium Cooking Pot
While this is more of a first-look review at the Paria 1.1L Pot, I can say that I am loving it and have high hopes for its long-term success in my cook kit. If you’re in the market for a fantastic outdoor cooking pot for your Bushbuddy Stove or to simply use as a solo-cup, this is a great one that I’d highly recommend you check out.
