Reiff F3 EDC Fixed Blade
At last, I have gotten my hands on the Reiff F3 EDC Fixed Blade! I have wanted one of these small fixed blades from Reiff Knives since I first handled one at BladeShow 2022. It is a stout little knife that features a 4-finger grip on the handle, a 2.9″ blade, and CPM Magnacut on the blade steel (also available in CPM-3V). While I’m talking about specifications, let’s take a quick look at the full details of the Reiff Knives F3 and my thoughts…
Overall Length: 6.7″
This feels like my beloved Reiff F4, only shrunken down…and I love that. The ergonomics feel incredible, even though it’s a small knife.
Blade Length: 2.9″ / Cutting Edge: 2.65″
I’ve always enjoyed using smaller fixed-blade knives. And the Reiff F3 is no exception. Sure, 2.65″ isn’t a lot of blade edge when compared to its bigger brother (the F6 Leuku), but you’re not going into the woods to build a log cabin with the Reiff F3. However, this is more than enough for EDC tasks and most other outdoor tasks.
CPM Magnacut (61-63 HRC):
In every one of my Reiff Knife Reviews, I talk about my simplicity when it comes to blade steels. I don’t overcomplicate things. As long as a knife stays sharp while I’m outdoors and I can easily maintain it, I’m a happy camper. And that is certainly the case with CPM Magnacut. I also love that I don’t have to worry about my Magnacut blades getting wet. I simply cannot get one of these to rust (and yes, I’ve tried).
Flat Saber Grind:
Reiff Knives always do an incredible job with their flat saber grinds. They are durable, slicy, and versatile. You may find yourself fileting a fish early in the day, opening an Amazon box at midday, and chopping up vegetables for a stew at night. I enjoy the kind of flexibility that a flat saber grind offers. It’s a jack of all trades.

Handle Material(s):
My Reiff F3 came with Natural Canvas Micarta handle scales and I love them! Canvas Micarta is one of my favorite handle materials, hands down. The F3 also comes in a variety of other Micarta colors, as well as G10. Head over to ReiffKnives.com to see all of the options.
Weight (micarta version): 3.6oz
This is a very light fixed blade. I hardly feel it on my hip when I wear it and it does not tire me out at all when I’m using it.
Sheath Options:
Speaking of carrying the Reiff F3, it comes with your choice of a leather sheath or a Kydex sheath. I have a leather sheath, but I am thinking about getting a Kydex sheath or a pocket-style sheath (like the one that the Circadian comes with).
USA Made with a “Carry No Cares” Warranty
Average Price: $265
This is, actually, not a high price for this particular knife. It is made in the USA with premium materials and a rock-solid warranty. I was surprised when I didn’t see a slightly higher price tag on this knife. With that said – Any Reiff Knife is not an impulse buy. Reiff Knives are premium tools targeted toward users who are serious about their knives.

Who would I recommend the Reiff F3 To?
EDC Enthusiasts:
There has been a surge of interest in compact EDC Fixed Blades over the past year or two. And my reaction to this trend is two-fold: “It’s about time” and “Welcome to the party”. The Reiff F3 has been here the entire time and I think it deserves a close look from anyone looking to EDC a fixed blade in their pocket or on the hip.
Bushcraft & Survival Practitioners:
I am an avid outdoorsman who practices bushcraft, survival, and traditional skills and the Reiff F3 fits perfectly into this field of use. While I would love to see an F3 Scandi, some day, for proper whittling and carving purposes, the F3 Saber Grind holds its own in the woods. During the photoshoot for this article, I built a wet weather fire to help warm up and dry off and the F3 handled everything I threw at it like a champ.
Hunters & Fisherman:
This would be an excellent companion in the field or on the stream for my fellow hunters and fishermen. It will not rust when it comes in contact with water or other fluids from an animal. And the Magnacut (or CPM3V) blade steel will stay sharp while processing an entire whitetail deer.
