Sawyer Insect Repellent
For years, I thought “spraying some bug spray” was all that I could do to combat ticks & mosquitoes…But I was dead wrong. I always came back carrying ticks and had itchy arms filled up with mosquito bites. However, this Spring, I vowed to stop this nonsense and that’s when I discovered a two-step process that actually works…
- Use Permethrin to treat your clothing & gear:
Spray it on your clothing and gear 12-24 hours in advance of your next outing. - Use Picaridin Spray or Lotion:
Apply directly to your skin (avoiding your eyes & mouth).
Sawyer Permethrin & Picaridin
How do I know they actually work? I have been in the exact same fields, countless times, with these 2 products on and have brought ZERO TICKS back with me (no mosquito problems either)…And the 2 days I went out without permethrin-treated clothing this year (only using “bug spray”), I found ticks galore.

I am beyond thrilled with how well this combo has worked for me and my family this year. And I hope it helps you too if you decide to try it.
