It seems like forever ago that I bought my first Silky Saw. In fact, I just looked back and tried to track down my first Silky purchase but I couldn’t find it. However, I do know that I have been using these saws since at least 2017 with great results.
With that said, this brings us to the all-new Silky Outback Saws…
Whenever I began to look at each of these revamped Silky models I saw something different. These new saws have character and design appeal that match the rest of my outdoor kits very well. The saws are a bit more heavy and robust feeling than the standard models. And the materials + blade coatings feel incredible.
This particular article will not serve as a full breakdown or review of these outback saws. Rather, I’m wanting to show these to you all so you can get a quick heads up on what’s to come from Silky.
*I have experience with the older models of each of these saws, so some of my notes below will reflect my experiences with those.

Silky Outback Big Boy
The Silky Big Boy is what its name implies…It is a big ‘ole saw! I have used the Silky Big Boy for a couple of years as one of my winter camping & survival-training saws. Weighing in at just over 1 pound, this saw packs a punch far heavier than its physical weight. My buddies and I have taken down some very large hardwood trees with this saw and it handled them like a champ.
