Vanquest Gear

Every now & then a brand comes along that you automatically connect with and say “That’s what I was missing!”. And this is exactly what happened when I met Vanquest Gear at BladeShow.

I was carrying a popular big-named “camera bag” during this event and it wrecked my shoulders all day long (seriously, it was so uncomfortable). Michael of Vanquest quickly picked up on my discomfort without me saying a word. He ended up getting me set up with a Vanquest Trident 32 Backpack that has drastically changed the way I’m able to carry my gear at events and while I’m outdoors. I have since started testing a lot of Vanquest’s other products as well – And I’m very impressed.

Vanquest Katara 16 Review

Vanquest Katara 16

The Vanquest Katara-16 is my go-to fishing bag for 2023. As soon as I saw this pack, I had a vision of how I could deck it out to accompany me on my outdoor fishing ventures. It is compact but still has plenty of capacity for a day out on the water.

My Katara 16, as shown above, is decked out with Blaze Orange Zipper Pulls and Hydra Carrier (with a Titanium Grayl water purifier bottle inside).

Vanquest ADDAX 25 Review

Vanquest Addax 25

The Vanquest Addax-25 is one of the best Travel and EDC Backpacks out there, in my opinion. Sometimes my ADDAX houses my fishing kit, other times it contains my bushcraft kit, and it almost always has a camera body and some lenses for impromptu adventure photos. The Vanquest Addax-25 is incredibly comfortable, well-built, and very modular with the optional Vanquest Sticky Cubes.

Vanquest Dendrite

Vanquest Dendrite

The Vanquest Dendrite is one of my go-to packs for day trips and everyday carry. It holds the right amount of items for a day on the trail or around the lake. Add a Hydra Bottle Carrier and you couldn’t ask for anything more in a simple pack.

Vanquest Trident 32 Review

Vanquest Trident 32

As I mentioned earlier…The Trident 32 Vanquest Backpack was my intro to their gear. I use my Trident 32 Backpack as my camera bag every single day as a Commercial Product Photographer. This backpack has me taken care of in the studio, at events, and in the outdoors (where I do a lot of my photoshoots). It is incredibly durable and comfortable for miles of walking, even under heavy loads. This is, truly, a backpack for working professionals.

I love how modular Vanquest Gear is. You can take all of their bags and customize them to your exact needs. Below are a few standout hook & loop accessories that are well worth you checking out.

Vanquest Hydra Water Bottle Holder

Vanquest Hydra Water Bottle Holder

The Hydra Water Bottle Holder from Vanquest is a must-have if you do not have an external bottle holder on your backpack. I am currently using my Hydra on the Katara-16 backpack. The Hydra holder is really versatile and allows you to carry a small 10oz. bottle, all the way up to a 64oz.

Vanquest Sticky Cubes

Vanquest Sticky Cubes

The Vanquest Sticky Cubes are one of my favorite modular accessories for my Vanquest backpacks. These cubes allow me to create “mini kits” within my backpack, which can be easily added or removed, based on whatever I plan on doing for the day.

Vanquest Spartan Zipper Pulls

Vanquest Spartan Zipper Pulls

I am a huge fan of Vanquest’s Spartan Zipper Pulls. They are easy to operate with cold hands or when you’re in a hurry. And you can choose from a plethora of awesome colors to further customize your pack (I, of course, went with Blaze Orange!). This gives my bag that bit of extra visibility when I lay it down on the bank of a lake or next to a tree while I’m setting up camp.

Vanquest Sticky Panel 2x3 Review

Vanquest Sticky Panel

A lot of Vanquest backpacks have “loop” (soft-sided velcro-like material) on the inside. This allows you to use their Sticky Panels to add even more organization to your loadout. I am currently using a 2×3 Sticky Panel inside of my Katara-16 to hold some small tools near the top of my pack.
