Today is the Day!
For the past year or so, I have been wearing my Wazoo Survival Gear “Bushcraft” and “Viking” Necklaces every single day. These necklaces have become a crucial part of my day-to-day life. They give me peace of mind that I always have my fire starting & tool maintenance needs covered. However, today marks the next major step for both of these great tools…
THE SPARK™
Over the past couple of months, I have been working quietly with the team over at Wazoo Survival Gear to help launch THE SPARK™ & VIKING SPARK™ Necklaces. I have created a ton of fun photos & creative assets for this launch…And believe me, when I say this, it has been hard for all of us to not share this ’till now. But, today is the day that it all goes live on Kickstarter for the world to see (links will now redirect to their website as the Kickstarter has been fully funded)!
What’s New With THE SPARK™?
- RE-DESIGNED STRIKER:
The Spark features a thicker & longer ceramic striker that I have found to be a big improvement over the old one. It gives you a better grip and helps to throw more sparks than ever before. - VIKING COMBO:
The Viking Spark combines my two favorite tools and turns them into one. The Whetstone, Ferro Rod, and new Spark striker are now in 1 package, so I don’t have to wear 2 necklaces. This is a huge win for me as it streamlines my EDC a bit more. - STYLE:
In addition to the new length and thickness, The Spark striker is redesigned with a different shape. This shape is nice for styling purposes. But, it also lends itself to various applications such as opening boxes, self-defense, use as an emergency glass breaker, etc. - QUICK DISCONNECT:
The Spark now features a quick-disconnect clasp versus the past iterations which used fisherman’s knots.
While The Spark™ changes are subtle, they are instantly recognized and appreciated once you get it in hand. In fact, I handled the first SPARK™ prototype earlier this year and I have been excited to share more about it ever since…But, I obviously couldn’t do that until it was live on Kickstarter (link will now redirect to their website).
